Wilhelm Schmelz

Wilhelm Schmelz is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Department Head and Release Train Engineer at TTTech Auto since November 2018, leading an Agile Release Train comprising up to 11 teams and focusing on high-impact outcomes and continuous improvement. Previous roles at TTTech include Process Manager and Local Line Manager, where Wilhelm developed engineering processes and coached software engineers. Prior to TTTech, experience at Bosch as Technical Team Lead and Software Developer involved leading teams in embedded software development and managing quality processes. Additional roles as a freelancer in technical translation and positions at E+E Elektronik and Neuson Hydraulik contributed to a well-rounded skill set. Wilhelm holds a degree in Physics from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz and has studied at the University of Kentucky and HTL St. Pölten.
