Bert Snijder

Bert Snijder is a seasoned professional in the field of structural design and engineering, with extensive experience spanning multiple roles. Notably, Bert served as Consulting Engineer and Senior Project Engineer at Movares from 1995 to 1999, and held the position of Project Leader Steel Structures at Netherlands Railways NS from 1989 to 1995. Prior to that, Bert was involved with TNO as a Project Leader and scientific staff member in the Department of Steel Structures from 1984 to 1989. In academia, Bert has been active at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven from 2006 to 2011, serving as Vice Dean and leading the Structural Design and Construction Technology group. Bert also contributed as a part-time Professor of Structural Design (Steel Structures) and held positions as Chairman of various structural design groups. Academic qualifications include a degree in Civil Engineering from Technische Universiteit Delft and a Propedeuse in Legal Studies from Universiteit Leiden.
