Johan Maljaars is a Principal Scientist at TNO and a Full Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology. They have extensive expertise in the fields of fatigue and fracture of metal structures, aluminium structures, structural engineering, structural fire design, structural stability, and finite element analysis. Johan earned a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Technische Universiteit Delft and completed a PhD in Built Environment at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. They worked as a PhD student at NIMR from 2004 to 2008 and have been a Senior Scientist at TNO since 2001.
