Marcel Breeuwer is a full professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), specializing in medical image analysis and visualization. Marcel earned an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Delft in 1982 and a PhD from the Free University of Amsterdam in 1985, focusing on lipreading supplemented with auditory information. From 1985 to 2023, Marcel held various positions at Philips, culminating in a role as Principal Scientist where they worked on medical image processing and analysis, particularly in cardiovascular disease, neurology, and oncology. Marcel has authored over 190 scientific publications and is recognized as a Fellow of the European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering Sciences.
