Simanta Lahkar

Simanta Lahkar, PhD, is a Data Engineer and Research Lead Modelling based at Eindhoven University of Technology, where they develop production-ready data processing tools, including LAMMPSKit, and manage cross-functional projects in international consortia. Previously, as an Early Career Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, they led a funded research project on thermal transport simulations and taught courses on Machine Learning for Engineering. Simanta earned a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, focusing on the anisotropic properties of 2D materials, and holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mechanical Engineering, respectively, from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
