Wouter Akker

Wouter Akker, van den is currently a Principal Strategist for Energy Systems at Alliander’s Corporate Strategy and a Distinguished Research Associate in Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology. They previously held roles such as Principal Scientist at Alliander, where they led research and innovation programs for future energy systems, and Asset Strategist at TenneT, focusing on maintenance policies for the Dutch Transmission Grid. With a background in managing strategic innovation in energy networks, Wouter also serves as a Councillor for the municipality of Rozendaal. They obtained an M.Sc. from Eindhoven University of Technology, completing their studies in 1996.
