Lukas Spanier

Lukas Spanier is a Research Assistant and PhD student at the Institute for Functional Materials at Technische Universität München since November 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a Development Engineer for Space Simulation at IABG, where responsibilities involved the modernization of process gas supply components and optimization of thermal-vacuum test solar simulators. As a Patent Engineer at GRÜNECKER, duties encompassed drafting patent applications and conducting prior art searches for international clients. In a leadership role as Chairman and Scientific Lead at danSTAR, significant achievements included the development of a scalable sounding rocket and successful negotiations for project support with the Danish National Space Institute. Lukas holds a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from the Technical University of Munich and has also studied at the Technical University of Denmark.
