Stefan Engels

Stefan Engels is an academic staff member at the Technical University of Munich, currently pursuing a doctoral degree focused on design automation for the European train control system. Previously, Stefan served as a working student at IABG, contributing to the automation of experiment planning and statistical data analysis in socio-technical systems. Experience at Rohde & Schwarz involved software development with Python and C#, including implementing automated quality conformance tests and character detection methods. Earlier roles include a graduate assistant position at the Technical University of Munich, web development at Plagge.IT, and participation in the International Summer Science Institute at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Stefan holds a Master of Science in Mathematics in Operations Research and a Civilingenjörsexamen in Engineering Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the Technical University of Munich.
