Barry Shang

Barry Shang is currently the Director of Machine Learning at Tubi, where they lead a team focused on enhancing user experience through data science and machine learning. Previously, they were a Senior Applied Science Manager at Uber, managing teams in the Rider organization and earning multiple promotions during their tenure. Barry holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley, where they developed computational models and published significant research on nanoscale systems. Their earlier experience includes internships at United Technologies and MIT, and a role as an Engineer at OSIsoft, where they designed software solutions for data infrastructure.
