Colin Y.

Colin Y. has a strong background in software engineering and has held various roles throughout their career. Colin started as a Software Tester at Axiom xCell Inc. in 2006, where they were responsible for reviewing and evaluating software requirements, creating test plans, and providing bug reports. Colin then worked as a Software QA Engineer at Qualcomm, performing testing in CDMA and WCDMA environments and creating test cases. In 2008, they joined Tactel US Incoporated as a Test Lead, managing a team of test engineers and planning resource allocation for multiple test coverage.

Colin then transitioned into a Senior Software Engineer role at Sony Mobile Communications in 2010, where they served as a lead Android Engineer for all Sony Mobile's Android Clients. Colin designed and built new android applications, implemented new features, fixed bugs, and improved performance. In 2013, they became a Senior Technical Advisor at Shinajii, defining and executing technical vision for projects and providing solution designs for business needs.

In 2015, Colin joined WANDA Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on designing and developing mobile applications and working closely with product and engineering teams. Colin produced proof-of-concepts for mobile development using React Native and Flutter. Colin then moved to Accela in 2017 as a Senior Mobile Engineer, improving the quality and usability of the Core library through software refactoring and architecture improvement. Colin also contributed to the open-source preparation of the Accela mobile SDK.

Colin continued their career at Doctor On Demand in 2018 as a Lead Android Developer, responsible for leading Android development and contributing to the company's next-generation app. Colin then became an Engineering Manager at Included Health (Doctor On Demand merger) in 2019, overseeing engineering projects and managing a team. Most recently, in 2022, Colin joined Tubi as a Senior Tech Lead - Android, where they lead Android development projects.

Colin Y. began their education at Chung Ling High School from 1994 to 2000, where they obtained their High School degree. Later, from 2003 to 2005, they attended Wichita State University, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Software Architecture and Systems.
