Daniel Reyes has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Daniel began their career in 2013 as a Research Assistant at Ajay Kapur, where they developed software and constructed enclosures for a sound visualization project. Daniel also conducted research for a National Science Foundation grant. From 2012 to 2015, Daniel worked at the California Institute of the Arts, serving as a Teaching Assistant, Digital Fabrication Lab Tech, and Sound Engineer. During this time, they were responsible for assisting with teaching, maintaining fabrication equipment, and managing sound engineering tasks.
In 2015, Daniel joined Technical Multimedia Design, Inc. as an Associate Engineer. Here, they developed web applications, modified schematics, and firmware, and created Q-Sys Plug-ins. Daniel then moved on to BudSpot in 2016, where they served as a Project Lead Developer. In this role, they developed a fully isomorphic application using MERN stack, integrated various services such as Twilio, Socket.io, JWT, Checkr, Stripe, and Google Maps for different functionalities.
Daniel worked as a Freelance Software Developer at Output Inc. from May 2018 to September 2018. During this period, they assisted in maintaining Output's Hub desktop application, which involved working with Angular, HTML, and CSS. Following this, they joined Diamond as a Software Engineer from September 2018 to January 2019.
From 2019 to 2021, Daniel worked for Fox Corporation as a Lead Engineer, taking on a leadership role in engineering projects. Currently, they are employed at Tubi since June 2021, initially as a Senior Software Engineer and later transitioning to the role of Senior Engineer from July 2022.
From 2011 to 2015, Daniel Reyes attended the California Institute of the Arts, where they pursued Music Technology and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree.
