Senior Android Engineer at Tubi

Gregory Lewis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Gregory is currently employed as a Senior Android Engineer at Tubi since December 2020. Prior to this, from June 2017 to May 2020, they worked as a Software Development Engineer III at Amazon Music.

From November 2012 to April 2017, Gregory worked as a Senior Android Developer at Slacker. In this role, they were responsible for software design and implementation for the Slacker Radio streaming music app. Gregory also led a team of 3-4 Android developers and rearchitected the majority of the codebase, improving development speed and quality.

Between March 2006 and October 2012, they worked at PacketVideo as a Principal Member of Technical Staff. Here, they focused on software design and implementation for multimedia applications on mobile devices. Gregory also developed a cross-platform component-based UI framework and a remote method invocation system for communicating between C++ and Flash code.

Prior to that, from 2004 to 2006, Gregory served as the Director of Engineering at Zaxis Technologies Inc. Gregory'sresponsibilities included porting games on J2ME and BREW handsets, leading a team of 5 engineers, and being involved in original game development for Disney.

Other experiences include working as a Senior Software Engineer at Soflinx Corporation in 2003, Wireless Knowledge in 2002, and Zucotto in 2000-2001. At Wireless Knowledge, they were the head Java developer and created a MIDP email client and a component-based UI framework. At Zucotto, they developed software for a Java-based microprocessor and was involved with the Jini Surrogate Architecture and JCP/JSR committees.

Early in their career, Gregory worked as a Software Engineer at Linvatec Imaging from 1996 to 2000. Here, they developed software for medical imaging devices in C and assembly and patented an automatic gain/shutter algorithm. Gregory also gained experience with schematics, logic analyzers, and in-circuit emulators.

Gregory Lewis attended UC Santa Barbara from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics.
