Harry Deng has a diverse range of work experience in the entertainment industry. Harry is currently working as a Content Acquisitions Coordinator at Tubi, starting in March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Teahouse Pictures as an Assistant to Producer from November 2020 to June 2021. In this role, they scheduled meetings, took detailed notes during script meetings, and created pitch decks for multiple projects.
Before Teahouse Pictures, Harry worked as a Disney+ Scripted Content Intern at The Walt Disney Company from January 2020 to May 2020. Here, they wrote coverage on scripts and books, offered creative notes, and managed schedules for two executives. Harry then interned at Legendary Entertainment as a Features Creative Intern from September 2019 to April 2020, where they performed assistant duties, wrote coverage on scripts, and researched potential feature film adaptations.
Further back in their career, Harry worked as an Acquisition and Distribution Intern at Cohen Media Group from June 2019 to August 2019, where they created marketing materials, researched film buyers, and assisted in coordinating film elements for distribution. Harry also interned at Fox Networks Group as a Drama/Comedy Development and Programming Intern from June 2019 to August 2019, where they wrote coverage and performed administrative duties.
In addition, Harry has interned at Evolutionary Films as a Sales & Distribution Reception Intern in May 2019, and at Carnegie Mellon International Film Festival as a Short Film Competition Head Coordinator, Programming and Event Coordination Intern from October 2018 to April 2019. At these positions, they organized marketing campaigns, assisted in shaping the artistic vision of film programs, and coordinated events.
Before their work in the entertainment industry, Harry worked as a Graduate Student Consulting Data Analyst at Google from August 2018 to December 2018. In this role, they assisted in improving YouTube advertisement user experience through data analysis and research. Harry also interned as a Reporter and Editor Intern at South China Daily in August 2017, where they interviewed exhibition curators and published a feature story on a traditional Chinese folk musical premiere.
Harry Deng earned a Master's degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, where they studied from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Finance from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where they specialized in Finance, General. Harry'sundergraduate education spanned from 2014 to 2018.
