Kevin Corcoran has had a diverse and extensive work experience, ranging from technical writing to software engineering roles. Their most recent position was as a Senior Video Engineer at Tubi, starting in November 2019. Prior to that, they worked for Deluxe Entertainment Services Group for eight years, where they were a Senior Software Engineer focused on transcoding. In this role, they developed software for adaptive streaming, download, and broadcast for major customers. Before that, Kevin was a Lead Software Engineer at Sonic Solutions, where they led a team in developing the BDJ stack for Blu-Ray players. Kevin also worked on DVD navigation components and maintained the DVD MPEG-2 video decoder. Earlier in their career, Kevin was a Senior Software Engineer at Ravisent, where they developed components for video CD navigation and created a SPDIF audio renderer. Kevin also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Lyrrus, Inc., where they were the project lead for a music notation software and developed DirectX renderers for MIDI playback. Kevin began their career as a Technical Writer at Intelligence at Large, where they wrote API documentation and developed a help system for multimedia software.
From 1981 to 1985, Kevin Corcoran attended Penn State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts.
