Gerald Schmidt has extensive experience in product management within the travel and tourism industry, primarily at TUI, where employment began in October 2002. Holding various leadership positions such as Head of Product Management for Germany North America Canada Australia, and earlier roles covering multiple European markets, Gerald Schmidt has consistently overseen product strategy, planning, purchasing, pricing, content, and sales. Prior to TUI, Gerald Schmidt worked as a Marketing & Sales Coordinator for TUI Beteiligungsgesellschaft Hotels & Resorts and served as Destination Manager for TUI Service AG in Cyprus. Educational qualifications include two Master's degrees in Economics and English Studies from Universität Gesamthochschule Kassel, along with an apprenticeship as an insurance broker and further certifications in foreign languages. Currently, Gerald Schmidt also serves as a guest lecturer in Tourism Management at Ostfalia Fachhochschule Salzgitter.
