Micah Eckhardt has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Micah started their career in 2001 as a Systems Administration Technician at Palomar College, where they maintained computer workstations and networks and provided technical assistance. Micah then moved on to work as a Research Associate at the Machine Perception Laboratory from 2005 to 2008, where they conducted cutting-edge research in machine vision and Human Robotic Interaction (HRI) and developed a machine vision system for facial feature detection and tracking.

In 2008, Micah joined the Affective Computing Group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Research Associate and Ph.D. Candidate, focusing on the use of pattern recognition techniques to classify physiological signals. Micah also performed data extraction and signal processing.

From 2015 to 2016, Micah worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT Media Lab, focusing on the Future of Storytelling. Micah conducted research on story craft, learning, and the Internet of Things, particularly for challenged learners using the StoryScape platform.

In 2016, Micah joined Tulip Interfaces as an Independent Contractor, and later became the Application Engineering Team Lead. Micah managed the team responsible for working closely with key customers and providing technical solutions. In 2018, Micah transitioned to the role of Edge Engineering Team Lead, where they managed the engineering team responsible for product development and features related to edge technologies and bridging hardware with software systems. Currently, Micah is working with Tulip Labs to develop new offerings around Tulip's unique data offerings in the role of Data Insights.

Overall, Micah Eckhardt has demonstrated expertise in various fields such as system administration, machine perception, affective computing, and engineering management, making him a well-rounded professional with a strong technical background.

Micah Eckhardt pursued an academic journey in the field of Media Art and Science, starting from 2008 and concluding in 2015. During this period, they attended the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and successfully completed a PhD program. Prior to their time at MIT, from 2003 to 2006, Micah Eckhardt obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego.
