Tumbleweed Royalty, LP was founded in 2014 by Cody Campbell and John Sellers with the focus on mineral, royalty and overriding royalty acquisitions in the Permian Basin in West Texas. In its short existence, Tumbleweed has purchased over $250MM of minerals and royalties in the Permian alone.

Tumbleweed has expanded into other basins in the United States and has become one of the largest acquirers of minerals and royalties.

Tumbleweed evaluates properties of all types and sizes ranging from $5,000 - $50,000,000, including both non-producing and producing properties.

Tumbleweed’s founders have been active oil and gas lease buyers for many years in areas that are extremely difficult to understand. This knowledge and expertise in mineral ownership allows the team to streamline the process from when the offer is made to when the transaction is closed.
