Manuel Spitschan

Principal Investigator at TUMCREATE

Manuel Spitschan PhD serves as a Professor for Chronobiology and Health at the Technical University of Munich since January 2022, concurrently holding positions as Principal Investigator at TUMCREATE and the TUM Chronobiology & Health | MPI-BC Translational Sensory & Circadian Neuroscience. Additionally, Manuel Spitschan is a Max Planck Research Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics and an Adjunct Fellow at Max Planck Schools as of July 2023. Manuel Spitschan's academic contributions also extend to being a Faculty Member of the IMPRS Mechanisms of Mental Function and Dysfunction and an Affiliate Member of the Munich Center for Neurosciences – Brain & Mind. Prior to these roles, Manuel Spitschan was a University Research Lecturer and Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oxford, where involvement included serving as an OUI Innovation Champion and a Junior Research Fellow at Linacre College. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Psychology and an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, along with an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of St Andrews.
