Sophia Morsten is a research associate and PhD candidate at TUMCREATE since March 2023, specializing in food science. Prior to this role, Sophia worked as a food scientist in R&D at SGProtein from September 2022 to March 2023. Sophia gained extensive experience at ETH Zürich from February 2019 to March 2022, contributing to various roles including master’s thesis work at the Laboratory for Food Biotechnology, and serving as a teaching assistant in several food science and chemistry courses. Sophia also held a research assistant position in the Biotechnology Laboratory and tutored students in the World Food System. Earlier work experience includes serving as a student employee at Eni Energies et Services from 2015 to 2019 and completing an internship at Kantonsspital Aarau AG in late 2015. Sophia earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Food Science from ETH Zürich, completing the bachelor's degree in 2020.
