Atle Rognmo

Atle Rognmo has a diverse range of work experience in the field of optical coatings and research. Atle is currently employed at Tunable AS as an Optical Coating Scientist since July 2018. Prior to that, they worked at KONGSBERG as a Senior prosjektingeniør from April 2017 to June 2018. At Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt - FFI, they had a long tenure as a Research Scientist from 1999 to 2017. During their time at FFI, they gained extensive experience in laboratory work, manufacturing optical interference filters using vacuum chambers and PVD - Physical Vapour Deposition. Atle is highly knowledgeable in optical materials, vacuum technology, cleanroom work, and various instruments for characterization. Atle Rognmo also has programming skills and has developed their own programs for process automation, data logging, characterization, and analysis.

Atle Rognmo studied at various educational institutions throughout their academic journey. Atle began their education at Strømmen Videregående Skole from 1988 to 1990. Afterward, they attended Skedsmo Videregående Skole from 1990 to 1992, specializing in Vk2 Avionikk and Vk2 Datateknisk Linje (Avionics and Data Technical Line). Following their secondary education, Atle served in the military from 1992 to 1993 during their Førstegangstjeneste. Atle then pursued a Pre-Engineering course at Oslo Ingeniørhøgskole in 1993-1994. Finally, Atle Rognmo attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained a degree in Sivilingeniør (Master of Science) with a major in Anvendt Fysikk (Applied Physics).
