Origninally founded in the 1930s, Turbulenten is the student association of the aeronautical engineering study program at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). 

The education gives the students a solid background in maintenance, regulations and design of aircraft, both in terms of avionics and structures. It is one of the most desirable study programs in Norway, reaching upwards of 80 applicants per admitted student. 

The student association Turbulenten has two main goals:

1. Be a social arena for all the students, with especial focus on new students and inclusion. 

2. Be a bridge between the students and the aviation industry, giving students the ability to explore opportunities.
