Chief AI & Computational Research Officer at Turing Labs

Michael Thompson has had a long and successful career in research engineering and analytics. Michael began their career in 1984 as a Research Engineer at Dow Chemical, then moved to Amoco Oil Company in 1987. In 1996, they became a Mathematical Modeling Specialist at Mitsubishi Chemical. From 1999 to 2019, they were a Research Fellow at Procter & Gamble. In 2019, they took on a role as a Term Adjunct in the University of Cincinnati's Lindner College of Business, Department of Operations, Business Analytics and Information Systems, where they taught a 7-week Special Topics course on Bayesian Analysis to the Masters of Business Analytics students. In 2020, they became the President and Founder of Deciban Solutions LLC. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed as the Chief AI & Computational Research Officer at Turing Labs Inc.

Michael Thompson obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University between 1978 and 1982. Michael then obtained a S.M. in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1982 and 1984. Finally, they obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1990 and 1996.
