Founded in 2016 by two world-class applied mathematicians, Turing is not an investment management or advice firm. Rather we are a "invest-tech" company that licenses its technology and intellectual property to investment management and wealth advisory firms to allow them to evaluate, create and deliver superior investment solutions.  Turing utilizes advanced technology aimed at reshaping the definition of investment success.

A principal component of Turing's industry changing technologies includes its Hercules.ai™, a first-of-its-kind technology that accurately replicates the security holdings and portfolio weights of public mutual funds on a real-time basis. The ability to see inside, on a real-time basis, virtually every actively managed US equity fund provides clients unique diagnostic insights into skill vs. luck, as well as provides a nearly unmatched information advantage for the creation of new investment solutions. 

Turing's primary commercial application is Ensemble Active Management (or "EAM").  EAM portfolios approach the investment process differently than the ‘traditional’ model of one portfolio manager, one investment philosophy, one investment process. Instead, EAM is a multi-engine platform, leveraging advanced machine learning processes, including Ensemble Methods and replication technology to generate investment portfolios representing the consensus best stock picks from 10 – 12 high quality managers. EAM portfolios have been running on a live basis for over 6 years now, and supported by scaled research, demonstrate outperformance at 2-3 times the frequency of the average active manager.
