Xiaoliang Wei

Xiaoliang "David" Wei serves as the Head of R&D at Turing and an Advisor at Homedigy. From 2008 to February 2023, David held various leadership roles at Facebook, including VP of Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed developing central product platforms, enhancing community integrity, and promoting social good through technology. Previous experiences include positions at Google as a Software Engineer, where David worked on networking technologies and user experience improvements, and at California Institute of Technology as a Visitor Researcher and Graduate Student, focusing on Internet congestion control and simulations. Other roles at FastSoft, Ripple Networks, and as a research intern at IBM and Tsinghua-Bell Labs contributed to a robust expertise in networking and systems development. David holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Caltech and a BS in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.
