Dan Pickens has extensive work experience in various roles within the education and technology sectors. Dan began their professional career in 2005 as a Mathematics Teacher at Farmington Area Public Schools, ISD 192. Dan then went on to serve as the Head of Instructional Technology from June 2011 to July 2014. Dan was later promoted to Assistant Principal at the high school from July 2014 to July 2017. Dan then assumed the role of High School Principal at the same institution, where they continue to work.
In addition to their education experience, Dan has also worked as an Information Technology Manager at TurnKey Corrections since May 2023.
Dan Pickens completed a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Mathematics at the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2000 to 2004. Dan then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Education from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota from 2009 to 2011.
