Laurel Larson-Harsch

Laurel Larson-Harsch has gained a diverse range of work experience. Laurel started as an Editorial Intern at Graywolf Press in 2018, where they read manuscripts and provided feedback to the editors. Laurel then interned at The Progressive Magazine, where they assisted with editorial tasks such as fact-checking and copy editing. Laurel furthered their experience as a Writing Consultant at Carleton College, collaborating with students to improve their writing skills. In 2019, they worked as a Production Intern at Copper Canyon Press, handling various tasks such as evaluating manuscripts and creating marketing materials. Laurel also interned at Farrar, Straus and Giroux, supporting the Editorial and Production departments with grant research and manuscript evaluation. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant Poetry Editor at Narrative Magazine. In 2020, Laurel joined Patch.com as a Partner Content Curator, preparing news articles for publication. Laurel also worked as a Freelance Evaluator at Edmison/Harper Literary Scouting Agency, where they reviewed American manuscripts and entered rights data during the Frankfurt Book Fair. Furthermore, they served as a College Writing Tutor at Tutor.com. Currently, they are a Development Associate at New Yorkers For Children, where they contribute to the organization's development efforts. Overall, their work experience showcases their passion for literature, writing, and strengthening communities.
