Eva Rio

Eva Rio has extensive experience in the technology industry, with a focus on storage software and consumer electronics. Eva started their career at Laurea University of Applied Sciences as a Project Worker and Research Trainee, where they worked on an EU-funded project related to open source and social media.

Eva then joined Lionbridge as a Software Testing Engineer, where they tested mobile operating systems and applications. This role allowed their to work in an international team located in different regions.

After that, Eva joined Turck Vilant Systems as a Quality Specialist and Test Engineer. Eva was responsible for client and server testing of RFID systems, as well as developing internal testing processes and practices. Eva also worked on implementing a more agile and user-centered approach to testing.

Eva then transitioned to Tuxera, where they held multiple roles. Eva started as a Product Support Manager, focusing on ensuring customer satisfaction and improving user experience for their end-user products. Eva worked closely with the R&D and product marketing teams to provide input on user needs and new product developments. Later, they became the Head of User and Market Research, where they conducted research and analysis on various topics relevant to the company, such as flash memory and storage markets, automotive technology, consumer electronics, and industrial verticals. Eva also contributed to the development of the company's global marketing strategy. Currently, they are a Portfolio Manager at Tuxera.

In 2020, Eva also worked as an Independent Consultant for Advisory Services at Mardi Labs, where they provided consulting services.

Throughout their career, Eva has demonstrated expertise in product management, market research, marketing strategy, and customer support.

Eva Rio has a strong educational background in technology, service design, and engineering. Eva obtained a Master of Science (Technology) degree in Service Design and Engineering from Aalto University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (Econ.) degree in Information Systems - Electronic and Mobile Commerce from Åbo Akademi University, completing their studies from 2010 to 2012.

Earlier in their education, Eva Rio earned a Bachelor's degree from Universidade de Vigo, graduating in 2009. The field of study for their Bachelor's degree is unspecified.

In addition to their formal education, Eva Rio has obtained various certifications throughout the years. These include certifications in product strategy and software product management excellence from ISPMA, foundations of user experience (UX) design from Google Career Certificates, and foundational certifications from Pragmatic Institute. Eva is also a member of the Interaction Design Foundation and has completed a first aid course offered by the Finnish Red Cross.
