Danny Harris

Danny Harris has a diverse work experience in supply chain and category management. Danny currently works as the Head of Supply Chain & Category Management at TVS Supply Chain Solutions UK & Europe, where they lead a procurement function of 85 staff. Danny is responsible for maintaining and improving strategic sourcing, category management, and transactional supply chain on a budget of £300m.

Previously, Danny worked as a Senior Category Manager at Babcock International Group from 2007 to 2015. During their tenure, they achieved significant reductions in supplier numbers, directed a large portion of spend through a limited supply chain, and implemented supply/framework agreements covering 75% of total spend. Danny also served as the lead for the General Electrical Wholesale category across the company.

Before joining Babcock International Group, Danny worked as a Procurement Category Manager at Wincanton Logistics. In this role, they had strategic responsibility for various categories of spend, such as business travel, car hire, PPE & Workwear, packaging, stationery, and print.

At the start of their career, Danny worked as a Senior Project Procurement Engineer at Rolls-Royce. Danny completed the Procurement Graduate Programme and a secondment in Norway before joining the Naval Marine Division. There, they provided overhaul/refurbishment services to the Royal Fleet Auxiliary project team and achieved a 20% reduction in bought-in costs for Diesel Engine sets.

Overall, Danny has a demonstrated track record of success in supply chain management and procurement, with experience in leading transformational initiatives, streamlining processes, and achieving cost reductions.

Danny Harris has a BSc in Business Administration from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, which they obtained from 1998 to 2001. Danny later pursued a Post Graduate Certificate and Diploma in Supply Chain Management and Business Administration at Staffordshire University starting from 2001. Prior to that, they attended Yale Sixth Form College in 1998 and Ysgol Bryn Offa in 1996.
