Twelve Chairs Gallery is an independent contemporary art gallery founded by Kristine Stasiulevich and Georgian artist Zura, located in the vibrant heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Dedicated to original and expressive work, the gallery presents carefully curated exhibitions in both our indoor space and sculpture garden, bringing a uniquely Williamsburg edge to every presentation. Named after The Twelve Chairs, a satirical 1920s novel, the gallery reflects that era’s spirit of innovation and modernism, guiding its curatorial vision with creativity and bold expression. We represent contemporary artists with strong academic roots who push boundaries across media, uniting mid-career and established voices in a renewed exploration of figuration through a distinctly contemporary lens.
