Junbum Cha

Junbum Cha is currently a Machine Learning Research Scientist at TwelveLabs, where they focus on advancing machine learning technologies. Previously, Junbum served as an AI Research Scientist at KakaoBrain from 2021 to 2024, developing various algorithms and models for multimodal understanding. Their extensive experience also includes roles at NHN, where they engineered a superhuman-level AI go engine, and NAVER Corp, where they contributed to OCR innovations and published multiple papers. Junbum co-founded Fluttr Inc. and TEAM AppErest Co.Ltd., showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit early in their career. They hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science from Yonsei University.
