Nabil Shaikh

Nabil Shaikh is a highly skilled scientist with extensive experience in electrochemical systems and environmental engineering. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Twelve since October 2021, Nabil leads characterization efforts on CO2 electrolyzer stacks and engages in advanced instrumentation setup to support metrology and characterization of electrochemical devices. Prior roles include Senior Scientist at Twelve focusing on MEA fabrication and high throughput material inspection, and postdoctoral research positions at Giner, Inc. and the University of Illinois at Chicago, where Nabil applied electrochemical technologies for environmental remediation. Earlier experiences encompass graduate research at the University of New Mexico specializing in water treatment and environmental engineering roles in nuclear power and manufacturing contexts. Nabil holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, alongside a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering.
