Chris Boran

Chris Boran currently serves as the Chief Architect and VP of Platform & Reliability Engineering at Twilio, where responsibilities include managing Platform Engineering and SRE teams to unify practices and platforms. Previously, Chris held roles such as VP of Architecture Strategy & Chief Architect at Twilio, focusing on setting technical standards and coaching senior engineers. Experience also includes serving as Principal Architect at Salesforce, leading architecture for Commerce Cloud, and distinguished engineering roles at Sophos, where oversight included cloud security architecture and technical integration. Chris co-founded Ziptr, Inc., driving the development of a cloud-based SaaS platform, and has held various technical and managerial positions across startups and established companies, demonstrating a strong foundation in scalable cloud architecture and agile methodologies. Chris earned a Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours from Acadia University.
