Mark Simms

Mark Simms has a strong background in technology and leadership roles. Mark is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Twilio. Prior to that, they worked at Microsoft for many years. At Microsoft, they held various positions including Partner Architect, Principal Architect, Principal Group Program Manager, Principal Program Manager, and Senior Program Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for guiding the architecture and implementation of large projects on the Azure and Windows Azure platforms. Mark also served as a technical lead and architect, focusing on end-to-end platform architecture and scenarios.

Before their time at Microsoft, Mark Simms was the Vice-President of Research and Development at Cathexis Innovations. In this role, they co-founded the engineering firm and was responsible for technical direction and oversight of all product and service offerings. Mark played a key role in the development and release of an innovative wireless RFID reader.
