AI literacy is not something you bolt on. It is not vendor training repackaged as education. And it is certainly not a two-hour webinar followed by a quiz. The challenge is not awareness -- it is competence. Can your people tell when the AI is wrong? Do they know what they are losing by letting it do their thinking?

That is the competence paradox: the better the AI performs, the harder it becomes to verify its output. And the less you verify, the less capable you become of verifying.
