Chayan Roy

Chayan Roy is an accomplished scientist specializing in plant biology and genomics, currently serving as an Application Scientist in Next-Generation Sequencing at Twist Bioscience since May 2023. Prior to this role, Chayan held a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Copenhagen from February 2022 to April 2023, and has also gained experience as a Technical Associate in Computational Biology at the National Genomics Core in mid-2021. Previous postdoctoral positions were held at Western University of Health Sciences and South Dakota State University. Chayan's academic journey includes a PhD from Bose Institute, alongside positions as a Research Fellow and Project Assistant focusing on RNA's role in plant development. Chayan earned a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Botany from Visva-Bharati.
