Gene Yee

Gene Yee is an accomplished legal professional specializing in intellectual property, particularly within the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as Associate General Counsel for Intellectual Property at Twist Bioscience since February 2023, Gene has held various leadership positions, including Senior Director of Intellectual Property at ArsenalBio and Associate General Counsel - Patents at Bio-Rad Laboratories. With a rich background in patent prosecution, opinion, and due diligence work accumulated over years at prestigious firms such as Fenwick and West and Morrison & Foerster LLP, Gene also possesses a solid foundation in scientific research, having earned a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University.
