Kayla C.

Kayla C. is a Product Line Specialist on the Vector Team at Twist Bioscience since October 2022. Prior experience includes a Synthetic Biology Research and Development Internship at Absci, conducting 16 different experiments as part of the Strain Engineering team. Kayla served as a Research Assistant at Oregon Health & Science University, focusing on autism-related mutations and COVID RNA sequencing, with work highlighted in The New York Times. Additional internships have been completed at BiomeSense, Northwestern University, Baxter International Inc., and Habitat for Humanity International, among others. Kayla earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering and a minor in Theatre from Northwestern University, also holding a diploma with honors from West Linn High School.
