Michael Fero

Michael Fero serves as the Chief Information Officer at Twist Bioscience since September 2024, following a tenure as President of Habitable Planet LLC from June 2023 to September 2024. Prior to these roles, Michael was with TeselaGen Biotechnology, where responsibilities included President and COO from June 2011 to June 2023, and Co-Founder and CEO, focusing on developing an innovative Biological Design Automation platform. Michael's earlier career includes being a NIGMS Quantitative Research Career Fellow and Director of the Stanford Functional Genomics Facility at Stanford University from January 1999 to July 2011. Michael holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Elementary Particle Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed a Summer Institute for Entrepreneurship at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
