Candice Yip

Candice Yip is a Vice President at Two Sigma, leading healthcare alternative data modeling since September 2019. Prior to this role, Candice served as a Quantitative Researcher and Data Scientist at Thasos, working on transforming real-time mobile data into actionable business insights. Candice earned a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard Medical School, where research focused on the brain's principles of order and evolvability. Additional experience includes a fellowship at Insight Data Science, where a web application for fragrance recommendations was developed, and a Business Development Fellowship at the Harvard Office of Technology and Development, which involved evaluating technology commercialization. As co-president of the Harvard Biotechnology Club, responsibilities included coordinating leadership and organizing events. Candice began the academic journey with a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Southern California.
