Daniel Shields

Daniel Shields is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software development and engineering. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at Two Sigma since August 2015, Daniel enhances complex machine learning pipelines, mentors junior engineers, and identifies platform enhancement opportunities. Prior to this role, Daniel worked as an Associate at PDT Partners, contributing to critical trading system analyses and developments, and as a Computer Scientist at SRI International, where leadership in software and system development led to significant improvements in image-based georegistration algorithms. Additional experience includes co-owning codeLily LLC and holding positions at L-3 Communications and Activant Solutions. Daniel holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Rutgers University, along with an Associate of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Burlington County College.
