Joanna Lee

Joanna Lee is an accomplished professional in the fields of mathematics and research, currently serving as Vice President at Two Sigma since September 2025. Prior to this role, Joanna held significant positions at Nanotronics, including Chief Science Officer and Vice President of Research and Development from August 2020 to October 2025. Joanna's extensive experience at Microsoft spanned several roles from Senior Researcher to Postdoctoral Researcher between September 2017 and July 2020, with a focus on cryptography and security, as well as probabilistic combinatorics and number theory. Academic contributions include a Junior Research Fellowship at the University of Oxford and tutoring at the University of Cambridge. Joanna holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the same institution.
