Stephen Mellendorf has extensive experience in algorithm development and software engineering. Currently on non-compete garden leave at Two Sigma since October 2017, Stephen previously modeled and implemented trading algorithms. Before that, Stephen served as a Senior Trading Algorithms Developer at Interactive Brokers from 2002 to September 2017, where responsibilities included designing and leading trading and brokerage algorithms. Earlier roles included Senior Software Developer at Lucent Technologies, focusing on telephone network switch software, and teaching positions at Detroit Country Day School and Oakland University, where Stephen instructed mathematics and pursued mathematical research. Stephen holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor's Degree in Computational Mathematics from Michigan State University.
