Thomas Schuhmann

Thomas Schuhmann is an experienced professional with a robust background in technology and engineering. Currently serving in Equities Business Management and Strategy & Corporate Development at Two Sigma since July 2021, Thomas previously held the position of Technology Resident at X, the moonshot factory, where responsibilities included sourcing and managing innovative technology ventures. As a Graduate Student Researcher at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Thomas developed impactful electronic meshes for brain-machine interfacing, contributing to technology that inspired Neuralink, and holds a pending patent for a novel connection method. Early career experience includes serving as a Systems Engineer for the United States Department of Defense, focusing on a satellite communications network. Thomas holds a PhD in Applied Physics from Harvard University and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
