Thomas Walker is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in systems engineering and Unix operating systems. Currently serving as Vice President of Systems Engineering at Two Sigma Investments since October 2013, Thomas has a diverse background that includes a decade-long tenure at Morgan Stanley, where roles included Vice President in Unix Engineering and Lead Engineer. Significant accomplishments at Morgan Stanley involve managing a six-person team responsible for a $50M annual server hardware budget and a global server infrastructure of 70,000 servers, as well as driving cost-saving initiatives that resulted in $160M savings over five years. Thomas also played a pivotal role in the redesign of trading infrastructure and has a solid foundation in technology gained from both academic and professional experiences.
