Thor Simon

Thor Simon is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in security engineering and snowsports instruction. Currently serving as a Snowsports Instructor at Windham Mountain since November 2018, Thor specializes in the Competition Freestyle program. As the Senior Vice President of Security Engineering at Two Sigma since October 2011, Thor focuses on protecting the organization and its investors, previously holding notable roles such as Vice President for Security Special Projects and Head of Security Architecture, where various innovative security solutions were developed, including a CSO50 award-winning product. In addition to a long-standing commitment to The NetBSD Foundation as a developer, Thor has held leadership roles in security for the Mike Bloomberg 2020 presidential campaign and has significant experience in consulting and engineering with various companies. Thor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Columbia University, graduating summa cum laude, and has taught advanced Unix programming at the graduate level.
