Yi Chen

Yi Chen is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in storage engineering and management. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Storage at Two Sigma since January 2019, Yi Chen oversees a team of 20-30 engineers, driving strategy and executing critical projects. Prior to this role, Yi Chen was Vice President and Engineering Manager at DigitalOcean, where responsibilities included scaling a remote team and developing storage solutions that contributed to significant revenue growth. Yi Chen's earlier career included a Senior Engineering Manager position at EMC, overseeing product roadmaps and managing a global team, and a foundational role in the development of the Atmos object storage product. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Automation Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
