Marcel Bircher

Marcel Bircher has a diverse work experience. Marcel started their career as a Judicial Secretary at the District Court of Zurich in 2000. Marcel then worked as an Academic Assistant at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich from 2001 to 2002. In 2003, they worked as a Legal Counsel a.i. at Unisys before joining Hess Dallafior Attorneys at Law as an Attorney-at-law (Associate) from 2003 to 2005. From 2006 to 2012, Marcel worked as an Attorney-at-law (Senior Associate) at Froriep Renggli. Marcel then joined Publicitas as the Head of Legal, where they managed all legal functions of the Group, focusing on restructuring, M&A projects, and specific project-related work, until May 2018. Currently, Marcel holds the position of Deputy Head of Legal at TX Group AG, a role they have been in since August 2018. Marcel has also served as a Kammermitglied (3. Kammer) at the Schweizerische Lauterkeitskommission since 2017.

Marcel Bircher pursued their education in a progressive manner, focusing primarily on law. From 1995 to 1999, they attended the University of Zurich, where they obtained a lic.iur. degree, specializing in law. Furthermore, in 2005, Marcel Bircher attended UNSW (University of New South Wales), engaging in a one-year program to achieve a Master of Laws (LLM) degree. During this period, they concentrated their studies on intellectual property, media, communication, and information technology law.
