Kara Carrell

Kara Carrell has an extensive work experience in software development, consulting, and education. Kara began their career in 2010 as a Social Media Manager for See3 Communications. In 2011, they worked as a Digital Media Specialist for Pearson Foundation - New Learning Institute. From 2013 to 2015, they held various roles such as Education Support Coach for SLC Reading and Math LLC, Lead Instructor, Programming | Consultant for BLUE1647, Developer | Technical Project Manager for LimeRed Studio, and Full-Stack Developer Open to New Opportunities for Dev Bootcamp Graduate. In 2016, they began working as a Freelance Developer providing development, graphic design, web maintenance, and general consulting for several clients in the non-profit sector. In 2017, they became an Instructor for Code Platoon, and from 2018 to present, they have held roles such as Software Development Consultant, Associate Software Developer, and Software Developer Apprentice for TXI.

Kara Carrell completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in International Business from Johnson & Wales University from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained an Additional Diploma (HS) in International Business from the Center for International Studies from 1998 to 2001. In 2014, they completed a Web Development degree from Dev Bootcamp in Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, they obtained a SAFe 4 Certified Practitioner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in September 2017.
