Mark Rickmeier has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Mark began their career in 2000 as a Business Analyst at ThoughtWorks, where they were responsible for meeting with clients to understand their processes and requirements. Mark then moved into an Iteration Manager role, leading several teams on distributed development projects. In 2007, they were promoted to Client Principal, where they were responsible for sales and business development for their accounts, as well as providing consulting and advisory services to senior executives. In 2010, they were responsible for launching the new ThoughtWorks offering and services in Germany. In 2011, they became the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of TXI, a digital strategy and product innovation firm. In 2014, they joined the Ravinia Associates Board as an Associate Board Member. In 2018, they became the Chair of the Forbes Chicago Business Council. In 2019, they co-founded Walkshop, a multi-day hiking + design thinking experience for leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs. In 2022, they were accepted into the Fast Company Executive Board and became the Founder of the Kermit Collective.
Mark Rickmeier received their Bachelor's degree in Economics and German from Northwestern University between 1996 and 2000. In 1999, they attended the University of Melbourne for a course in International Finance. Prior to that, they attended Phillips Academy from 1992 to 1996.
