Derek Browne

Derek Browne currently serves as the Head of PMO and Technical Operations at TxWireless, a position held since January 2022. Previously, Derek was the Head of IoT Program Management at Taoglas, leading the delivery of custom IoT device projects and building a robust team for the design and manufacturing of next-generation smart devices for various industries. Derek's experience includes serving as a Senior Technical Project Manager at Taoglas, focusing on firmware, electrical hardware, and mechanical design, and a Contract Project Manager at S3 Connected Health, where the development of embedded software for a medical device was coordinated. At Intel Corporation, Derek gained experience as a Software Engineer, People Manager, and Scrum Master, working on embedded programming and project management within a SoC design team. Derek started the career as a Software Engineer Intern at Susquehanna International Group, specializing in C#, SQL, and server performance testing. Educationally, Derek holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Technological University Dublin.
